About ASHA Pay

Honorarium to community health workers

ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) is a volunteer health activist in the community for creating awareness on health and its social determinants. She mobilizes the community towards local health planning and assists in increased utilization and accountability of the existing health services. The role of the ASHA is to promote good health practices.

ASHAs render more than 50 different services under various health programmes to people in rural / urban areas. For each service they receive an entitlement per beneficiary served.

Frequently Asked Questions

ASHA Pay is built on our DBT Platform to create a seamless claim to payment experience for the ASHAs.

ASHA Pay allows a claim to be digitally raised. Any one of Mobile / Tablet / web interfaces can be used for raising the claims digitally

ASHAs can be onboarded by ASHA Facilitators or ANMs.

ASHA Pay is a workflow based system and therefore the approval workflow can be configured. This means that the agency can decide and configure its approvers depending upon various scenarios. In the solution available out of box, MOs are the first level approvers. Thereafter, the claim is approved by the PHC / Block accountant of the PHC to which the ASHA is attached.

ASHA Pay gives complete information to the ASHAs on their claim from the time it is submitted. They can view the status of the claim on the App. Upon completion of an important event e.g. upon claim approval, credit to the bank account, etc. ASHAs receive an SMS notification on their registered mobile number.

ASHA Pay is fully integrated with PFMS. End to end integration with PFMS ensures that all ASHAs receive their payments directly into their bank accounts via PFMS

The following are some of the pre-requisites to use ASHA Pay.
a. ASHAs, ASHA Facilitators, ANMs and MOs have to be onboarded on ASHA Pay
b. Claims have be digitally raised and approved by the concerned authorities
c. Approval of PFMS required for using end to end integration
d. A funding account and digital signature are required to transfer the funds to the beneficiaries

For the registration of ASHAs to be complete, the bank account provided by the ASHA (in which she wishes to receive her payments) has to be accepted by PFMS

Everytime a claim is sent for approval, the approver receives an email notification. Approvers can log-on to the system and view the claims to be approved on their pending tray

ASHA Pay creates a complete transparent ecosystem. It allows the State to monitor pendency and measure the work done by the ASHAs.
