The FPO Push

About 2/3rd of our population depends directly or indirectly on agriculture for livelihood

Small and marginal land holdings (below 2 Ha) constitute more than 85% of the total land holdings. In order to enhance these small and marginal farmers’ access to investments, technological advancements and efficient inputs and markets, collectivisation of the farmers in the form of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) with equal ownership and shareholding by the member farmers is being promoted.

The first step towards FPO formation is identifying that cohort which can be collectivized. This requires a detailed understanding and analysis of the demographics, socio-economic settings, crops and cultivation capacity, environmental factors, actors and markets. ViewZen provides ready to use digital apps that are being used by Cluster-Based Business Organizations (CBBOs) while forming the FPOs.

Yes. The APP is very easy to use. After our initial training, users would be able to use the APP without much support. Our APP is being extensively used in rural areas and therefore, usability has been designed keeping such users in mind.

Yes. Geo-tracing facility is available on the same APP.

The APP has been used in many districts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

Yes, any number of crops grown can be added to the list.

Yes. The existing application can be easily extended to capture periodic data on crops.

Yes. Trends can be seen for time variant data.

We will share the data with you in excel. You can create the summaries on this data. Otherwise, you can avail our services and we would share the summarised data table for each field.

Yes. Field-wise data tables aggregated at state, district, block, village and gram panchayat level can be provided. Please get in touch with us if you have very specific needs.

Yes, the APP can be configured in any local language as long as it is Unicode compliant.
